Valea Ierii is a commune in Cluj County, Romania. It is composed of three villages: Cerc, Plopi and Valea Ierii.
According to the census from 2002 there was a total population of 1,026 people living in this commune. Of this population, 98.73% are ethnic Romanians, 0.97% are ethnic Hungarians and 0.19% ethnic Germans.[1]
